Lectures and Workshops - Outlines

“Keith Still’s Crowd Dynamics workshop and applied course have focussed the minds of many people in realising just how easy it can be for disaster to occur, and equally how simple the solutions often are.”

Eric Stuart, former Metropolitan Police Event Planner for Notting Hill Carnival and London New Year Events

At the Crowd Dynamics workshops we apply our unrivalled knowledge of the science of crowds to your case studies and events.

We help you work out how and when a crowd reaches critical mass, and how the effects of design, information and management systems influence the crowd’s behaviour. We help your staff individually or collectively to understand crowds, to plan for and keep crowds safe, to understand and facilitate peaceful protests.

Hosting the workshops at your site so that teams can work and learn together.

Courses range from basic to applied and are aimed at every type of event professional from security services to event promoters, from police officers to stadium managers. We also provide e-learning for those individuals that want to know more in depth detail about the broad range of application of crowd dynamics.

Whatever your knowledge or understanding of crowds, we can make your events safer, more efficient, easier to run and subsequently more profitable. Crowd Dynamics is the world’s leading authority on how why and crowds form and move - reserve a place on one of our workshops now.

Option 1 : Lecture/Presentation

Option 2 :  2 Day Crowd Dynamics Workshop.

Crowd Dynamics two day workshop is for those who design for, plan or manage the movement of people in sport, entertainment, shopping, transport or similar environments. Typical delegates include site or venue operational managers, stewarding and security organisations, police officers, architects and local authority officers with licencing, planning or leisure management responsibilities. During the course delegates are taken through their own site/case related issues and by the end of the two day workshop they will understand how individuals and crowds react to and behave in available space in places of public assembly. They will also have explored the safety implications for designing and managing such spaces using the appropriate modelling tools and will be able to apply risk management techniques to the area of crowd management.
